One of the things I love about gardening is the conveyor belt of blooms – as one flower dies back, another one quick to blossoms to replace it. One of the things that has started to bloom away in my garden are my hydrangeas. It’s been a good year for them so far, due to all the rain we’ve had, so they are very happy flowering at the back of my…July 23, 2021
This week I was asked to write a blog about Tablescaping for the brilliant Rural Mums website (I am now officially a very important rural blogger …I live in the countryside and I write stuff…this is a fact) and I focused on the most amazing company who had one of those ideas that you actually hit your head in a “Why didn’t I think of this” manner. Tonja and her…July 4, 2021
Hi, welcome to My English Country Cottage, a blog inspired by my successful Instagram page.
I have been writing about our family life in our 400 year old thatched cottage in the middle of nowhere (delivery drivers words) for just over a year and am now braving the world of 'blog'.
I have spent the past seven years making our house a home and have put my experiences into writing about cosy country interiors filled with florals, old books, roaring fires, oak beams and squashy sofas.
